Holiday Wishes acrylic album..."clearly" a fun project!

I am pretty excited about this project because scrapbooking is not my strength but I think this turned out pretty cute.
Using white StazOn ink, clear acrylic sheets (just not transparencies, these are far more durable) and some of the beautiful designer paper from the Holiday Mini 2008, this album makes it fun to show off your favorite photos very easily. The inside paper alternate between different designer paper patterns and transparency sheets stamped with more images using the white StazOn which makes a great overlay for the photos. The spine is made using the Bind It All which is a really fun "tool" (sounds more professional than toy, doesn't it?) and I used it for the first time today when assembling my book. No, Stampin' UP! doesn't sell the Bind It All (I wish!) but it was just the ticket to finish off my album! Punches right through those sheets of acrylic, too...amazing!
If the stamps used don't look familiar to you, don't feel bad. They are new stamps in the Country Living Holiday Collection available to order beginning Saturday, Nov 1st thru Dec 31st as a partnership between Stampin' UP! and Country Living magazine. The special collection includes this great diecut stamp set (the snowflakes are part of that set) and a whole kit of diecut ornaments for holiday decorating. Very nice special...I will post a link to the info on that special tomorrow as I can't share it on my blog until the special goes active on the Stampin' UP! website in the morning. I also used one of big swirly/flourish style images from Baroque Motifs stamp set on the front cover...so if you thought you recognized that, you were right!
I think this little album will be fun for putting together a little scrapbook of our family photos from the upcoming Christmas season....ssshhhh, don't tell my kids that I will have a photography "mission" in mind or they might make alternate plans to hide from the camera. I just don't know what it is about pictures....I am not crazy about candid shots while I am stuffing pumpkin pie in my mouth but a nice photo op where everyone is smiling, or at least looking at the camera? What's wrong with that??? At any rate, I will be trying to get some good photos for my little album this season but it would also make a great little gift to give someone special....fill it with photos of loved ones or leave it blank so they can insert their own.
If you have an interest in making this book, I will be offering this as a class during the month of November. Please see the events calendar on my Demonstrator Business website (link is on the right side of my blog) for more info. If you aren't able to make it to any of my classes but would still love to do this album, never fear! I am happy to make this available to you as a kit, with or without the accompanying Holiday Collection so please contact me for details on that. I will show some of the "inside views" of the album tomorrow when I post the details on the Country Living special. Jan

Hmmm, I really like this acrylic album. I think you did a great job with it! Now I need to find me some acrylic sheets! I only have transparencies and they are very difficult to work with!
