Here is a beautiful but sinfully EASY Christmas card inspired by an almost identical card (minus some photo corner embellishments) created by a Stampin' Up! demo cyber friend of mine named Erika Martin aka Sunshine Mama. I think that Lovely as a Tree (LAAT for short) is one of those stamp sets that just keeps on giving....great for masculine cards and everyone else too, also awesome for Christmas cards. This card is no exception. A folded white card with a layer of Night of Navy underneath the white stamped panel and that's just about it. Stamp the trees in Night of Navy, use a sponge to tap a bit of Bashful Blue ink around in the trees and on the snowy ground then stamp the greeting (Heard from the Heart on page 156 of the "big book" item 111644 wood mounted version at $22.95, item 120006 clear mount version at $16.95)) in Night of Navy and don't forget the glitter! Yes, glitter....no holiday card is complete without it unless you are sending it overseas for a "Cards for the Troops" donation in which case glitter is bad. But I digress! Apply a bit of the 2 way glue pen on the branches and on the ground area then sprinkle Dazzling Diamonds over the glue. Voila...that's all there is to it!
Now, if you look closely at the photo you may notice a lttle extra something....nope, the card isn't bleeding, but somehow my sample card took a header into the Cherry Cobbler inkpad on the project adjoining it at my Holiday card class and well, you get the idea. I needed to get photos snapped and posted and no time to make another sample so hopefully you will still enjoy the card.
a casual blog dealing primarily with my obsession for Stampin' UP! rubber art stamps...and maybe a little chit chat along the way! This is a personal web site of Jan Hoyt, an Independent Stampin' Up!
