As many of you may already be aware, Stampin' UP! has issued a "Last Chance" list of stamp sets which will be retired effective July 1st. The list is available for viewing at my online store www.janhoyt.stampinup.net complete with sketches of the images if you click on "Last Chance" and then choose stamps.
Since I am going to be out of town starting today (Tuesday, June 16th) for an extended visit with my parents while my Mom recovers from a total knee replacement, I wasn't able to offer my traditional "Retirement" class using my soon to retire sets one more time so....I am going to turn that into a good thing by offering a special good deal for you, my customers and any blog readers who are interested. Starting today and through June 29th (to allow me time to process the orders before close of business on the 30th) I am offering a "buy two, get one half price" special! Because of the restrictions of online ordering, I am only able to offer this deal for people who contact me directly to place their order...otherwise the online system bills full price and I am not able to make any changes to that system. So, if you contact me directly, either via e-mail (inkerzaway@aol.com) or call my cell phone 618 531 3406 to place your order, I will have it shipped directly to you and I will discount the 3rd set (of equal price to the others, of course!) by 50%. If you are local and are willing to come by my house to pick up your order, then I will do a drawing for the soon to retire hostess sets. If you would like to participate in a mystery hostess drawing, please be sure to give me your choice of a Level 1 hostess set along with your order and payment info. Because I'll be out of town for the remainder of the month, I will need to get your credit card info to process the order as well as a good phone number to contact you with any questions.
Yes, yes...I know this is not as much fun as a great class full of wonderful projects to make you fall in love with those soon to be departed stamp sets but it's the best I could do under the circumstances!
Now, here's the good news...tomorrow my wonderful Mom will officially become the Bionic
Woman! She has already had two hip replacements and one knee replacement (over the past 20 some years) and after this, there won't be any more major joints to replace! If we could only get one of those bionic ears installed...shoot, I wouldn't mind getting one of those myself! AND (sssshhhh! don't tell Mom!) I brought a stack of get well cards with me so I can stick one in the mail every day and she will get a nice surprise when they have mail call at the hospital. Oh hush now..I am really not all that wonderful, I just happened to think of it in time to get a small stash of cards ready to bring along with me and mail here which is much faster than me driving home to IL every day and mailing them from there! Here's the part that YOU, my dear readers, will like....I also brought my camera! So, before I seal the cards up in their envelopes (in some cases stamped to match!) I will take pictures of them to share with you!
Last night I was up until after 1 a.m. (that's 0100 to you former military types) deciding what to bring with me to stamp convention swaps while I'm here....since I will be here for almost a month I HAD to bring some stamps, right? So tomorrow, while waiting at the hospital, I will be stamping up some cards with one of the new sneak peek sets called Razzle Dazzle and then I can come home, take pictures and share that as well! In all, I think I hauled 4 bags of stamping stuff with me, including my Big Shot so I should be getting quite a lot of stamping done while I'm here and if they turn out half as wonderful as I visualized them at "zero dark thirty" when I was tossing supplies and stamps willy nilly into my bag, then I will definitely be sharing photos of those too! Until then, think of me having fun stamping at the hospital...hey, it's better than working! And if you are a believer, then any prayers for a good outcome and rapid healing for my Mom would be very much appreciated! Also say a prayer that I will be a good girl and behave myself while I'm at home....if you are a grown daughter then you know what I mean! Jan
