Here are some of the cards we did at my most recent "3-4-5" class at the O'Fallon library, the 3-4-5 stands for 3 cards for $5 so I make sure these are quick and cute cards, but still fun!
The first card uses the same DTP (direct to paper) technique which I featured on a blog post earlier this month...just take ink pads directly to the cardstock and swipe them across the blank cardstock (I used Whisper White) then stamp with black StazOn ink....it's a little spotty here and there but I prefer to think that just adds artistic flair. But what a fun card with the little birds on a branch. I am not usually a big fan of birds but for some reason this months class had a bit of a bird theme...how "tweet"! ok, sorry...I couldn't resist!
Card #1 uses Clearly for You, a cute little set carried over from the 2011 Occasions Mini
Card #2 uses a set called Touch of Kindness from the 2011 Summer Mini (available thru Aug 31, 2011) and here we go again with the birds! This is a very simple card, just stamped on a piece of white cardstock which was cut out with the Sizzix Top Note die then layered onto another Top Note diecut only in Basic Black. To allow the edges of the black Top Note to show, I just peeled off the perforated edge on the white piece and sponged some Tangerine Tango ink around the edges to match the cardstock.
The birds in the fountain were stamped with Black StazOn ink and colored in with markers and blender pens. Quick and easy but a cute little card to brighten someone's day. Hope that you liked it! Please leave a comment telling me what you think about the cards...I'd love to hear from you!

What lovely cards! Thanks so much for sharing.
Love this card - this is my favorite image in this set.
I like the direct to paper technique. Maybe I'll do that for a Fish Hawk class sometime soon. Can you tell I'm getting settled into my new house? I finally have time to check out some blogs! I enjoy your cards. See you next month?
