May the bird of paradise fly up your nose....

Did I get your attention with the blog title?  I was going to use something really boring like "CAS Swirls and Curls" but I took a look at that little bluebird and that really old crazy country "Bird of Paradise" song came to mind so I went with it.  Can you tell that I grew up in southeast Ohio in the W. VA, KY tri-state area? Our local radio station was definitely a country station but not in the sense of country music today which is more "pop" than the "old style" country stuff and generally quite enjoyable in comparison to songs like Bird of Paradise and Bony Fingers, etc.

Anyway, here is my last card from the library card class...only it's not really the card we did at the library, it's a slightly different one that I did for my brother and SIL for their anniversary which I decided to use for this post instead because the Daffodil Delight (yellow) card from the library did not photograph very well at all.  I guess the yellow was too bright for my camera and it squinted so all I ended up with was a blurry yellow spot which I didn't realize until too late.

So the card is very basic indeed but still cute and I love the clean white front with the accent on the stamped image.  This card using the "Hello" image from Swirls and Curls, a hostess set in the current summer mini catalogue(available thru the end of August for those who host a party or place an order online which qualified for "stampin' rewards"), it includes a "happy birthday" image with some balloons, a "thinking of you" with a little flower and swirlies, a "congratulations" image with a little butterfly accent and a "thanks so much" image  all done is a whimsical swirly font.  I think the style and the number of sentiments makes it quite the versatile little greeting set, don't you think?  And so easy to just stamp then color in the little accent piece with a marker!

For this particular card, I chose the "hello" card which has the little birdie warbling a few notes and it fits perfectly in the 1 3/4" circle punch which fits perfectly into the 2 3/8" scalloped circle punch.  The front of the card is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder and the folded white card is cut down slightly so it layers onto a Tempting Turquoise base.

Hope that you like it as much as I did....quick and cute is just about my favorite when it comes to cards.  Thanks for looking and please check the sidebar for a little survey about what sort of things you like to see included in a blog post.

So clean and cute. The turquoise really pops against the white.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a nice comment. I was inspired by the SU basket of tags and enjoyed whipping up my own version. I am thinking of trying it again with a Christmas theme. Wishing you a great holiday season...there are so many wonderful products in the holiday mini. I'm sure your customers will fall in love with them as I did.
