Whoo Hooo...can you say DIECUT Stamps???

This was the view from my front porch today while I was impatiently pacing and waiting for Mr. Brown, my favorite UPS guy! He is bringing my pre-order of hostess sets and new catalogue preview sets along with a boatload of the new In Colors papers, inkpads, etc. and I am going into hiding to play with my new toys now. Poor Mr. Brown, he must really think I'm crazy but a stamper would understand!

Big news on the Stampin' UP! homefront! For months we have been hoping for this and this week on the Stampin' UP! demonstrator side of the website there was an announcement that all NEW sets in the upcoming 2008 Fall/Winter Catalogue will be diecut! And they will be clearly marked by a little "diecut" logo so they will be very easy to identify.

When SU announced last year that they would feature diecut stamps in the seasonal minis, I really wasn't sure how I felt about it. Guess that I'm one of those people who sometimes resists change??? Ok, so I'm stubborn! But I have always been rather picky about how my stamps are mounted and I love the option of deciding how close to trim my stamps, where to mount them on the wood block, etc.

After receiving my very first set of diecuts with last year's "Holiday Mini", I was instantly won over! Not only are they trimmed very closely (and don't look all pointy on the edges like when I trim them) but it means that I can literally mount an entire stamp set in a matter of a minute or two. I am all for making life easy and from that point on I was hoping they would eventually go this route.

Now, only the NEW sets will be diecut but any of the sets from previous minis which make it into the new catalogue will remain as diecuts. All of the previously published sets will be the old fashioned way but eventually everything in the catalogue will be diecut. What wonderful news!!! I love my craft and rubber scissors but I definitely love my diecuts more!

If you haven't already contacted me to pre-order your new catalogue, be sure to send me an e-mail asap so I can add you to my list. Here is my contact info: inkerzaway@aol.com or go to my SU demonstrator business website (http://www.janhoyt.stampinup.net/ ) and follow the prompts to contact me. My new catalogue pre-order arrives today so be patient as I may be in my "stamp cave" working away instead of hovering over the computer as usual. ;-)

ROFL! I'm so happy you were able to contain yourself for a change, Jan! Do you have a "Beware of Dogs" sign so they know when they "come to" and wipe the slober off their face they can just reason, "Wow, what a nice loveable dog!" When in fact...but we know who it really is!! LOL
And thanks for sharing a pic of your Mr. Brown! He's rather easy on the eyes, if I do say so! Do I detect a new avatar, Jan? ;)
