This card used the cake image from Voila and the sentiments are from It's Your Birthday. I used the wide Chocolate Chip grosgrain (it looks like a strip of brown cardstock in this picture) and a piece of red and white polka dot Designer Series paper from the Candy Cane series. I love using DSP on cards...it really perks them up with so little effort! I also punched out the cake image using the Scallop circle punch then used the large circle punch (punched it twice) and layered both pieces under the scallop. A little paper piercing around the scallops and it was all done!
The second photo is a picture of my now 19 year old "baby" humoring me by holding up the card to get a picture of it. Always good to do those things BEFORE you let them open their gifts while they are still "highly motivated", eh?
I am doing a Manly Men card class this Friday, May 22nd and am thinking about including something like this in the class along with some cards done with the Totally Tool and the "And Many More" stamp sets. What do you think? Is this "manly enough"?

Cute guy card. My mom likes to stamp, it's my daughter I can't seem to get interested, and I've got all this stuff! Now I have to say she did make her own Christmas cards last year, so maybe there is hope yet! Have a great week!
