I shared my August stamp club project the other day, here is the second project that we did at club. Since the easel card was a little more complicated, I kept this one pretty simple. I struggled a bit with what colors I wanted to use but in the end, I was pleased with the color combo on this one. Ever have one of those days when you THINK a particular combination will work but when you are done you just can't get happy with it? Well, that was me on the Thursday night before stamp club! I finally put it away and decided to get up early the next day and CASE (that stands for copy and share everything) another card from the Stampin' Up! Stampin' Connection group. So Friday morning, there I was...messing around with my project but a little voice inside my head said, "wait!...why don't you add a little chocolate?" Of course, a little chocolate helps everything so I peeled the scalloped medallion off of the Baja Breese cardstock I used initially and held it up against Chocolate Chip. YES! that did the trick! And was I ever glad....it was a lot easier cutting some extra Chocolate Chip cardstock than it was doing a whole new card, even if I was copying it.
Anyway, here is the final card and I was pleased with it. I used Fast and Fun Notes, the Sanded Background (love it!) and diecut the large scallop with the Sizzix Two Scallop diecut. I did goof a bit because I used the new 2.5" circle punch on the project and it won't be available to order until Sept 1st but my stamp clubbers will probably forgive me eventually...at least I hope so!
Here is one version done with the teacup image and the other done with the little bird. I'm glad that I switched to chocolate chip...I can always use the Baja Breese on another project.
I would love it if you would leave me a comment and tell me what you think! Happy stamping! Jan
