This was a very quick but easy swap card I made to use in a swap I did with some of my fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators here in the O'Fallon, IL area. I needed something from the new Spring Mini 2013 catalogue and since I had a fair amount of the pink polka dot Designer Series Paper I decided to use that for the focal point of the card. It's pink and it has polka dots, what's not to love about it?
So, this quick and easy card was done using the single stamp Easter Blessings embossed with white craft ink and white embossing powder. I never get tired of watching embossing powder melt and turn into a beautiful card, do you?
The embossed sentiment was diecut with a framelit from the Window Frames collection then attached to a white background which I first ran through the Perfect Polka dots folder. Before I attached the white layer to the bottom layer of Pretty in Pink I tied a little white organdy ribbon around the card for that extra something. I have a good friend with a great eye for "what a card needs" when you know it's not quite done and just needs a little something. We always joke that every time I ask, her answer is always, "it needs ribbon" and most of the time she is right.
Easter will be upon us before we know it, especially since it's coming early this year so I decided to go ahead and post this card in plenty of time for you to get some Easter inspiration. Hope that you like it!
